It is the result of the union of the ovum and sperm outside the woman’s body, either by placing the eggs in a sperm dilution (conventional in vitro) or by the injection of one sperm in each egg (ICSI), waiting for fertilization (which occurs in approximately 70% of the injected eggs), for subsequent transfer into the uterine cavity, transvaginally.
