FERTILIZATION (IVF)
WHAT IS IN VITRO
FERTILIZATION?
It is the result of the union of an egg and sperm outside the woman’s organism, either by placing the eggs in a sperm dilution (conventional in vitro) or by injecting a single sperm directly into the egg (ICSI), in an attempt to achieve fertilization (which happens in approximately 70% of the injected eggs), the embryos are then transferred into the uterus.
WHO IS IT RECOMMENDED FOR?
When there is an alteration in the Fallopian tubes (the muscle canals that connect the ovaries and the uterus).
If the patient’s partner has low sperm count.
If the patient’s suffers Endometriosis type II, III or IV.
Diminished ovarian reserve.
For cervical and immune factors.
If there is no explanation for the patient’s infertility.
If the patient opts to use donated eggs.
IVF PROCEDURE

Prices per IVF attempt:
1. Operating room, IVF lab and other fixed supplies $2700
2. Medical fees specialist in Reproductive Medicine $1500
3. Anesthesiologist’s medical fees $300
Total for first attempt: $4500
(Includes ICSI and extended culture to day 5 blastocyst)
*Does not include consultations and medications
Special charges that may be required for the procedure (only if necessary):
1. Blastocyst freezing:$700
2. Thawing of Blastocysts $700
3. Blastocyst transfer $500
4. Thawing and transfer of blastocysts $1200
5. Testicular puncture PESA $1600
6. Sperm donor $600 per sample.
7. Shared egg donor $4500 (approx. 5 eggs).
8. Exclusive egg donor $8000 (approx. 10 eggs).
Note: charges for sperm and egg donors correspond to infectious and genetic laboratories, medications used on donors, as well as freezing and thawing supplies.
