It is the result of the union of an egg and sperm outside the woman’s organism, either by placing the eggs in a sperm dilution (conventional in vitro) or by injecting a single sperm directly into the egg (ICSI), in an attempt to achieve fertilization (which happens in approximately 70% of the injected eggs), the embryos are then transferred into the uterus.
